About the TLC
The Tutorial Learning Center (TLC) provides FREE tutoring to CMU and CMU Tech students in a variety of subject areas. Peer tutors are available to support your learning and help you with your questions. We offer three different tutoring options to our students to assist with in-person and remote learning.
What our tutors do
Understand how your tutor will be able to assist you with your questions.

Review concepts, types of problems, and rules.

Help you understand and follow assignment guidelines.

Offer study tips and encouragement.

Assist you in using your textbooks, syllabi, and class materials.
To be fair to all students and to adhere to the Student Code of Conduct, tutors will NOT:
Do your homework for you; Teach you content if you missed your class; Help you with take-home tests/quizzes, test corrections, test extra credit, and/or pre- and post-tests.
Want to help tutor your peers?
The Tutorial Learning Center is always looking for stellar students to be peer tutors. If you like helping other students succeed in their classes, you are welcome to apply to be a tutor. Paid training is provided for all students who work as tutors. Submit an application today!
